Batavia Varsity delivered a dominant 56-33 victory over Finneytown on the road, improving their impressive record to 7-2. The team showcased balanced scoring and strong team chemistry throughout the contest, never trailing after the opening minutes and steadily pulling away for a commanding win.

Carson Harris led the offensive charge with an outstanding 14-point performance, shooting an efficient 70% from the field (7-10). Harris got Batavia off to a hot start in the first quarter, scoring six consecutive points to help build an early 12-4 lead that set the tone for the entire game. Brett McKeon and Landon Larrison each contributed 11 points, with McKeon providing consistent scoring throughout and Larrison making key shots including crucial three-pointers. Both Carter Cope and Logan Roller added 8 points each, with Cope shooting an impressive 67% from beyond the arc (2-3) and Roller demonstrating great efficiency at 67% from the field.

The game’s turning point came early in the second quarter when Batavia went on a decisive 16-2 run, extending their 17-11 lead to a commanding 30-13 advantage by halftime. Though Finneytown attempted a rally in the third quarter with back-to-back three-pointers, Batavia responded immediately with clutch shooting from Larrison and maintained control. The fourth quarter saw the team continue their balanced attack, with multiple players contributing to seal the victory and give valuable playing time to the entire roster.
