The Batavia Freshman team delivered a dominant performance at home, crushing Clinton Massie 51-12 to maintain their perfect season and improve to 3-0. From the opening tip, the young Bulldogs controlled every aspect of the game, building an insurmountable lead early and never looking back in what was a true team effort showcasing their depth and balanced scoring attack.

Batavia set the tone immediately in the first quarter, racing out to a 12-0 lead behind the hot shooting of Steele Peavely, who knocked down a pair of three-pointers to pace the early assault. Peavely continued his stellar play throughout the game, finishing as the team’s leading scorer with 13 points on efficient 5-of-9 shooting, including an impressive 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. The scoring was beautifully distributed among the entire roster, with Tyson Eads adding 9 points on 4-of-7 shooting, while Eli Beasley and Joey Elliott each contributed 7 points with excellent field goal percentages of 60% each.

The third quarter belonged to Beasley, who caught fire with a personal 7-point scoring streak that helped extend Batavia’s commanding lead to over 30 points. Elijah Weisbrodt also made his presence felt with 6 points on an outstanding 3-of-4 shooting performance, demonstrating the incredible depth this talented freshman squad possesses. With contributions coming from nine different players throughout the game, Batavia showed the kind of unselfish basketball and team chemistry that championship teams are built upon, setting an exciting tone for the rest of their undefeated season.
