The Batavia JV team delivered an impressive 55-38 victory over Mount Healthy at home, improving their record to 4-2. The team showcased balanced scoring and strong teamwork throughout the contest, building momentum as the game progressed and pulling away for a commanding 17-point win.

The game featured several exciting lead changes early on, with both teams trading baskets in a competitive first quarter. Caleb Tobias got Batavia rolling with 7 first-quarter points, including a clutch three-pointer, but Mount Healthy kept pace and managed to tie the game 14-14 at the end of the opening period. The second quarter saw Liam Trent heat up with 6 points, including back-to-back three-pointers that helped Batavia establish a 27-21 halftime advantage.

Batavia truly took control in the third quarter, outscoring Mount Healthy and stretching their lead to double digits. John McKeon provided a spark off the bench, scoring all 7 of his points in the third quarter with efficient 3-for-5 shooting from the field. Makai Taylor continued his outstanding performance, finishing the game with 14 points on an incredible 6-for-7 field goal shooting (86%), including a perfect 1-for-1 from three-point range.

The fourth quarter belonged to the home team as they closed out the victory in style. Liam Trent led all scorers with 15 points, showcasing his range with three successful three-pointers, while Tobias added 12 points with solid all-around play. The team’s depth was evident as multiple players contributed throughout the game, with Ethan Becker providing a perfect 2-for-2 shooting performance.
